About the Author
Rohan Gunaratna, author of many books on armed conflict, was called to address the United Nations, the US Congress and the Australian Parliament in the wake of 11 September. He is Head of the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research (ICPVTR) at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
